Settle down sparky, even if it were a pristine collectors car it would still have all the standard Mk3/7M issues and this is what everyone is trying to help you avoid...
There are actually a couple of us that know a thing or two about your car of choice... :nono:
You need a crank signal before the ECU will send a pump signal, NO a faulty CPS won't power down the ECU, have you verified any of this with a multimeter?
Most mk3's leak water, the floor is often stupid hot on these cars, all of this = fogged up windows, AC clears it in minutes even at a warm setting as it dehumidifies the air in the car..
I don't understand why people buy a Mk3 then remove all of the creature comforts that make it what it is...
^ Ditto I still have a great working relationship with the Toyota parts guys even though I"ve moved 120 Km's and no longer own a Toyota anything ;)
(I source some stuff for the USA guys now and again)
It doesn't "click" ever... it's not a simple on/off solenoid it drives to a position depending on speed, if you supply it with 12v for too long it will be dead for sure though.
Car would need to be Mint for that kind of $$$ and the aftermarket parts would need to have been installed correctly or they could be worthless, not to mention the "rebuild" would had to have been done by someone with half a clue and not by one of the less knowledgable members here.... :nono:
