    shifter spins freely

x2 on a pic. If it's same as above they can be difficult to get to lock up, I had one. If it's a stock shifter that's been shortened my earlier advice holds.

    shifter spins freely

Stock they're bonded, a lot of people cutNweld them to shorten the shifter, this destroys the Bond and it spins, another "mod" is they remove that section and weld the threaded part to what's left making it short but this can vibrate/buzz like a bitch at highway speeds...

My new rims...what do ya think?

Could qualify that with some don't ;) --------- OP: The issue with a 7M and sleeves is they're a siamese bore engine meaning 1>6 are all interconnected, the bore spacing is tight so there's not a lot connecting each hole, when you sleeve an engine you overbore it by a large amount then slide a...

My new rims...what do ya think?

If it in fact has been sleeved it's junk as far as a performance build is concerned.... :nono: As for the wheels nah don't like 6 spokes..

    New 7M Install

I glue the washers into the Head with a dab of grease on each on then lower it over the studs as guides, no chance of screwing the poooch that way esp if you've recycled a MHG with Copper spray...

    Pilot Bearing Removal

Only way I can see that happening is if some genius removed the inner seal when it was installed.... :nono: Kenny: All well and good till it pulls the inner race clean out and you then have to dremel what's left into pieces to remove... (I have a couple of slide hammers but have learnt my...

    Pilot Bearing Removal

Yeah same thing, you're just using hydraulic force to push it out, think hydraulic ram the bearing is the piston the crank the cylinder and the bolt/shaft the pressure inlet :) It's pretty cool.

    ls1 lsx v8 engine mount

Front crossmember or one at the Trans?... Neither I made it all a bolt in job, the bash guard/brace replaces the tubular brace behind the pan as the F Body pan is in the way, also the Chev pan is Cast Aluminium so I figured a good 5mm thick 5083 guard would save the engine. (It's all for...

    Pilot Bearing Removal

I use Grease and a shaft that's a close fit to the ID of the bearing, slide hammer is good but if the bearing's been in there awhile you run the risk of pulling the inside race out then the job becomes a major PITA...

    7M NA to......?????

Gen IV LS Chev, an L98. You could pick up a cheap late model engine/trans and with minor work have your power and tweak it for economy. I was running BIG injectors in mine and still got great mileage.
