all the N/A cam INTAKE cam does is move the powerband around. (more toward lower RPM, you'll lose upper end power) it's not worth...
here's one of me from a few years ago. :) (probably 18yrs old, i'm 22 now)

dont cut the springs, more important than a crappy looking/ shoddy feeling ride, is the danger factor. cut springs dont act as they should, and the first panic situation you get in, you'll realize that. but by then, it's already too late...

the w58 can hold 400ish. if you beat on it constantly, it'll die. you'll need a good clutch, obviously, in order to attain that goal, on either tranny.
the r154, if in decent condition, with good gear oil, can hold massive amounts of power. :)

it's super easy. you drill just a few holes, small ones, and they bolt right on.

just for reference sake, larger turbo's wont lose breath at upper rpm like ours do. :)
also, with properly built valve train, and balancing, i think it'll hold 8k like it's job. :)

it's WAY too early to tell, dude. seriously. right after my rebuild i had the same symptoms (minus the o2 sensor code). it turned out to be a pinhole in the only coolant hose i didnt replace (but was already on order). dont jump to conclusions!

yeah, all i did was make sure the engine harness matched the yearspan of my car, (87-88 T because i was an 86.5 N/A) and changed the oil pressure sending unit. everything else i left the same. though, i do recall splicing a few different connectors on... but they were all easy one-wire...
