    whats this plug for?

no they're not;) that big thing you're looking at is the EGR cooler. the VSV is the little maroon/brown thing on top with the electrical connection. if you have a JDM motor, then you have no EGR setup. -shaeff

For all the JDM 7MGTE owners...

the whole JDM motor craze is just that, though, a CRAZE. they're no better than the USDM models. you can usually find them with less mileage, that's all. you'd really be better off taking that $1000 and dumping it into your current GTE because at least then you know what you're working with...

    Wiring Problem

what two wires twisted together in the fuse panel under the hood? any "wire" visible from the top of the fuse panel would only be the single fusible link, in which case, it's a special type of wire. if it's twisted together, go to toyota and get a new one for five dollars. it unscrews from the...

does anyone know or have a read up on battery killswitchs?

well, every time you reset the ECU, it has to relearn everything. it wont run "perfectly" until it's done re-learning. :) think of when you pull the EFI fuse when you clear the codes. think of how different feeling the car is. -shaeff

does anyone know or have a read up on battery killswitchs?

heh, patience is a virtue. this board is the most helpful i've ever come across in terms of the mkIII. as far as i know, it's just a large kill switch in line with one of the battery cables. i know nothing about them, because i dont want one. (why? you ask?) because every time you kill power to...

so here are my new plans...

the only supra owner on SM, or SF who's EVER seen my car is TONY! i've never, ever posted pictures of it aside from those tail light pics. i suppose i'm secretive like that. however, soon enough, (when the snow melts away) i'll take before pics so you can all stare in disgust over how rusty it...

I just bought a catch can...

because when they clog up, you start popping seals out. just ask siman. :( when they clog, the motor has no way to vent the pressure, which is bad of course. and as for vacuum to the catch can, it's to pull the vapors to the can. think of a vacuum cleaner. it wont work very well if you let...

    HELP! my heater!

you wont break it, or shouldnt anyway. ;) push it so the plunger is as far up as you can get it, and wrap a zip tie around it, then wrap a zip tie around the other. or just use a wire coat hanger. get creative. ;) -shaeff

    Good replacment shocks?

i've got koni yellows. they're $100 a piece, and adjustable (only while off the car though :() regardless, they're a huge step up from stock, and on the full soft setting, it's stiffer than stock, but not TOO stiff. i've got mine full firm front, full soft rear. it's a decent combo. too bad i...

so here are my new plans...

i already fixed my rear wheel wells. :) i put new metal in them because there were GAPING holes (i could fit almost 4 fingers through them) going from the rear wheel wells, right to the interior of the car. in the rain, i'd get wet spots on my back seat. i fixed that, problem solved, the car...

why do people buy cheep intercoolers ?

i dont think it went to shit, i think people just want proof. one cannot expect to post how shitty the ebay intercoolers are unless one has proof;) several others stated that they were nearly identical to the upper end models. all they want is proof. :) -shaeff
