I was also thinking that the "ex-nascar" machine shop dude is the kind of guy that will argue with you that the surface ra does not need to be any lower then 50 because they have 800 hp motors that don't need it and he has been doing this for years... I have heard that same story from every...
This is why a wideband in-car is so nice. You could have been running lean under boost for a long period of time. Did your plugs show any signs of detonation? Reguardless, I know it is a sucky situation and sometimes it is hard to pinpoint the actual cause.
I could be wrong about the exact resistance but I am pretty sure 532 ohms is too high. You measured the resistance with the gauge not powered up right? Did you run a new wire just for the sender? Maybe one of the ends you crimped on is not making good contact for some reason, check your sender...
I have a better trick, and it is free!
The only real difference between 1/8" npt and 1/8" bpt is the outer diameter. Take a 1/8 npt die and run it as far onto the auto meter senders' threads as you can. After you do this the sender will thread right into the stock hole in the block and seal...
I got a question:
Why does the maft harness' purple wire go to the VF connector? If that for the auto tuning feature?
Also, I never got the boost sensor for my zt-2, can I use the gm boost sensor's output?
HAHA! I forgot to check that. It is only on the one side, so either your pimpin upside-down Spearco or for an additional $5 I could do something like this for you:
:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
One more special deal for those who want to be big pimpin with the real deal:
One only at $425 shipped!
Honestly, the one I sell usually looks nicer with the fully polished endtanks but I know some people like the name brand ic's, and it does say Spearco on the front :naughty:
The inlet/outlet are 2.5" on mine. Honestly that big 24" core one on ebay is a good deal at $160 shipped. I had a source for those at that kind of price but they stopped importing them because they are selling for so low on ebay it's not worth it for them anymore.
I have a new intercooler to...
Yeah, we installed a walbro fuel pump, but the stock fpr is ok for the boost we will be running.
One thing I noticed is that the connectors can't be unplugged from the PTE injectors without loosening the fuel rail.
I put the PTE 550's in the 7m we just built and they have worked out great. They came with connectors for $350 shipped on ebay. The RC injectors were going to be a lot more then $100 more because the clips were not included. It was going to be more then $500 for the RC injectors.
That wastegate is exactly like the one I am selling. Mine also have the hole tapped in the middle with no accompanying hardware. I think it is for an optional boost adjustment like IJ mentioned. All you would need is a fender washer that fits nicely inside the wg above the spring, and the...
