    From memory there's a switch in the Lock that senses when there's a key in it as Dan pointed out, disconnect that and the buzzer should STFU. Shouldn't affect anything else whereas disconnecting the door switches will ;)

    Another downside is if you lose the AIC or it's injectors the engine has a lean enough AFR to turn it into Slag... :(

    I've had this dicussion/argument many times over the years here even to the point of a well respected member arguing for bars.... The Placebo effect is strong and people want to believe they haven't made a useless purchase so will justify their decision.
