When I made the sleeves I tapered the end of them then as you insert them they straighten out the tube enough to go in, once you use a worm clamp it completes the "repair" (mine were really sad)

2: Albert: you're not serious that Adjustable Cam pullies are useless are you?
8300 rpm just about everytime I drove it, Ferrea Dual springs, Ferrea OS Valves, Ti Retainers, Shimless buckets..
Got the replacements Cryo treated no more failures.
Rod Bolts would be next on the Hit list.
Then Rods.
Will all depend on how it gets driven, my car would see long...
The type of fitting and how it seals dictates what product is used.
Tapered threads use Teflon to reduce the friction so they can wedge into the hole and seal, from memory there's a Nut/Olive fitting or a Flare fitting, they're installed dry as the Olive/Flare becomes the seal.
I'd just unhook the fuel line from the rail put a hose on it into a can then jumper the fuel pump relay, if you pull the drain plug you better have a 30 litre+ container ready as there's no stopping it once the plug is out short of getting a gas shower...
