Way way back when I was a munchkin (about 42 years ago) my Father had a 1964 Holden that had a 179Ci I-6, they had a "walking stick" breather from the Rocker Cover down the side of the engine that would vent under the car...
We fitted it with a new fangled PCV valve and hose and fuel economy...
Sounds the same as my LS (thought that was the case just wasn't sure) , next question for me would be are the o-rings installed between the Pump Body and the Block...
Front mounted crank driven pump on those isn't it?
(sorry no JZ experience)
Anyway fuck off get some sleep and attack it tomorrow with a clear head! ;)
I'd need to see an oil flow diagram for a JZ but I think the antidrainback will screw you, if you can find a filter without it you'd fill it screw it on the blow compressed air into the turbo feed, that will blow the oil in the filter back into the pump wetting it enough to create suction...
Ahhh ok!! :)
guess you could fill the filter screw it back on then try and pump some oil down the Turbo feed line so it wets the pump.
Anti drainback valve in the filter might stop it though...
Well when he said "it's sucking" that sounds like the Oil pump inlet, if you can then blow into that and it comes out the Turbo feed something is wrong...
try blocking the turbo feed and crank it.
