it looks like you might be one tooth off. i have always lined mine up like i show in the link, and always get the timing dead on with no problems.
is your pic taken at an odd angle or something? it threw me off at first.

i guess will's been out and boosting around. :) that's more than i can say for myself, of course. :(
i haven't heard from him since i brought his car back! (i guess that's a good thing!)
happy boosting, will. :)

there are two different part numbers for the same hose. Jeff Lange told me that.
here's the kicker- one part number costs MORE than the other when you purchase them. werid, huh?
hopefully jeff lange will chime in, as he has the P/N's memorized, and told me the cheaper one to buy. :)...
i admit. i <3 louvers. :) i have far more important things to do now, though. (like getting the rustbucket back in at least SOME state of operation)

good to know. i had a huge arguement about this with some random guy on SF about a year ago. he said they flowed different, i said they didn't.
we agreed to disagree. i guess i was correct. :) (i had read it someplace before, but couldn't provide the link due to a computer crash at the time)...
i did this a few weeks back when i relocated my fuse box, ignitor, etc... and extended all the wires so it's all hidden. the car doesn't run, and it never really had a miss, but it's good preventative maintenance as far as i'm concerned.
nice writeup- i also followed JJ's post. :)

i figured it was the movement of the bulb causing the left shift as...
when i was working on the car, the fusible link was giving me problems. it's definatly fried. the casing was crusty and fell off when i touched it, and it's certainly not making a good connection. i know that for sure.

i'm going to bet it's a boost leak. most likely culprits= IC pipe right off the bottom of the turbo, and the coupler between the 3000 pipe and throttle body.

bumping this:
poodles is thinking along the same lines i am. i just installed the kit in my '94 toyota pickup. it's alright. i still need to tweak it. (hi/lo kit)
i was thinking that if we put a resistor of the same amount of resistance between the ground and the high beam pin on the...
and john lunsford has been in the mk3 game for a long time, and knows exactly what he's doing. would i do it? nope. but if you DO know what you're doing, you might be able to squeak by like John does.
also note that he's running a higher static CR. ;)
