its trivial to get it to work, however its not worth it.
i remember seeing a picture of drjonzes car from way back with the NA intake manifold.
for some reason my tranny would always get extremely hot. the shifter would be hard to touch.
ran redline fluid in there, same deal. then i switched to mobil one and the problem went away. ive neve noticed any difference in shifting smoothness from different gear oils.

either get it from drj for 25 bucks i think? or save up for an EBC.
drjonez's price is right, and anything more than that is a waste of money that would be better used towards an EBC.
ask at your local truck repair shop where you can get a drive shaft made. it wont be AL but itll be lighter than stock, single piece, and not nearly as expensive as an AL or CF drive shaft.
id say its gotta be a wireing problem, either that or a vacuum leak that you are misdiagnosing.
try just letting the car idle for a while, does the idle drop?

hah that reminded me of this guy who drove a lifted pick up and whenever it snowed real high, he made it a point to drive up to the top of the snow pile left by the plows and parked up there. every single day.
