    Wastegate Malfunction?

http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx wastegate malfunction? i see no code for that, unless you're talking about abnormal boost pressure. post what code you have, and we'll tell you the problem. ;) chances are, you're either overboosting due to a shimmed wastegate, or...

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

ah, i didn't know that. well, i'm not sure what i'm going to do yet. i'll likely end up using them except in the #1 arm. my car isn't a daily driver, it's a weekend warrior that *sometimes* gets driven on weeknights. i'm under it every weekend checking things out, so i'll pay super close...

Why does everyone underestimate the MKIII?

honestly? 1) 90% of them are beat to death 2) 99.860784% of their owners are immature, negligent, young, and careless kids who just want to go fast. 3) it's a 20 year old car. MAINTAIN it first, MODIFY it last. once you have a perfect base to start with, THEN mod it. 4) 99.860784% of...

    The wife is pissed!!!

i got my girlfriend a single long stem rose, took her to dinner, and rented a movie. i'm sure you can figure out why we decided to rent rather than to to the theater. ;)

    Is this assumption correct?

i always found it easiest to go to the junkyard, grab the connector and about 6 inches of extra wire from another supra TPS, pull your connector, put on the new one with stripped ends, and adjust that way using a multimeter with alligator clips. works like a charm, every time. (and no need to...

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

yep, i had Bryan weld behind the little tabs that the eccentric bolts go between because mine were all bent out, thus making it nearly impossible to get a decent alignment. we bent them straight, and ran a bead behind them. i didn't have any trouble with stuck eccentric bolts on the rear...

Need help. Won't run after rebuild.

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38775 if you say that your marks all line up, i'd check the crank pulley for shits and giggles. i worked on one car where the crank pulley bolt loosened up, and the pulley slipped, making it impossible to have the timing set correctly. :)
