no, it should start and run fine. you'll have no acceleration, code 52, and poor gas mileage, as when code 52 is registered in the ECU, timing is retarded, and fuel is added. if you're turbo, your car will hate boost.

uh, no. code 52 is unrelated to the AFM in every way. all it means is that there's a short somewhere in the wiring between the actual sensor(s), and the ECU. running rough has nothing to do with it. hell, you could have rodknock on all six cylinders and STILL not get code 52.

^ that's why you have to get the real HKS units. :)
