Okay guys small update:
I put the AFPR back on with the brand new diapram, I set it to 40psi with no vacuum. With vacuum it sits around 30 something. and when I go get into boost it goes up to 40psi but once it hist positive pressure, it immediately drops to 15-20psi, goes lower the longer i...
I just read this. You do realize steel is heavier?
Go get a quote from metal express. I did:
16'' of 1018 at 2-1/2'' is $45.30 (steel)
16'' of 6061 at 2-1/2'' is $37.85 (alum)
So again, why use steel?
Alum is:
cheaper
easier to cut
better Finish
lighter
doesnt rust...
No dingle dork, Why would a CAD file be made? too much work. Ill just write some G-code for the CNC, itll make my life easier, not cheaper. itll make the turn around rate a couple days instead of weeks.
Glad your incharge of the "r&d" and not the Machining. ;)
Here is a link to my thread. I havent looked thru your thread yet, but this is how I made mine:

I jusT see it as a bitch to weld a disc on there. Making sure it's all lined up and not cock-eyed. Using a plasma torch? Good luck getting everything even and line up perfectly. 20 bucks for material for alum isn't bad at all IMO. And it's plug and play. Not everyone has acess to grinders, cut...
Most People look for rears to eliminate wheel hop. Id let you guys know how the ride quality is, if its that much more noticeable, but his car wont be done till mid-late 2011

why would you weld plate to the subrame? A: is permanant, and B: It has the possibility of warping while welding. Pressable Bushings seems SOOO much easier. And choosing Alum over steel is a no brainer; It has soo many characteristics that are better: Corrosion, easier to machine, you can press...
Hey guys. Just wanted to show you guys what I've been working in the last week. They are solid subframe bushings that are fully pressable, instead of spacers. I just use a .001 press fit, so all it takes is sticking it in the freezer for half an hour.
Right now I've only made the fronts...
A possible 3000 rpm breakup. But I'm in the middle of putting the DM line on with an adapter to intergrate the fuel dampener In the line. My stock line was kinked to all he'll.
Moral of the story is I reccomend the DM line. But I reccomend the dampner too.
Oh okay. I'd assume just T it into the oem o2 sensor wire. You'll have a ground a positive and a input I'm assuming for the gauge. Not 100% I've never messed with a narrowband gauge.
And the immulation is if you had a wideband like the Lc-1. You can get rid of the stock o2 sensor and send the...
