Sadly no. He hasnt brought me the 4'' bar stock yet. I have it blueprinted, just need to make it then test fit it in his vehicle....he said next week or the week after. Hopefully if all goes well ill have them done by the end of the month.
Yeah, made on a lathe. Manual lathe tho. After I get Everything made I may just write some code to put it on the CNC, which would make my life easier...So far the bushing overall is 3.5'' long (not inluding the top Hat... and a 4'' piece of Alum at 12'' long its about $50 bucks. So ill be able...
yes. Sucky thing is the fronts use a 2.5'' bar stock so its cheap, the rears will use a 4'' bar stock cause the hat is huge....which will be more money =/
Okay, A little update:
The friend im doing this for (stevenr816), got back on the project and knocked out his rear subframe bushings. He is coming over today, and im gonna designed up rears. Looks like its gonna be a 2-peice Bushing. Not hard just more work.
Ill get photos up once I start...
I got it running a week ago on stock ECU. It spools very similar to my old Garrett 67mm. the MP-70 Has The S cover .70ar, which seems to get into boost more consistently. The .50ar cover on the 67mm would take forever spooling 1-6psi (5th gear) but from like 8-17psi it had no problems. May have...
So I figured I mind as well make one of these builds since I'm pulling my motor for upgrades anyway.
Some background info on the car: I bought it this summer, I traded for my old white 87. The car to begin with was a project car, I took most of the summer putting it back together and finishing...
On my 1jz with a Jza70 and a Jzz30 and also with his 2jz , cutting the hole in the firewall (with is just below and a little to the left of the throttle cable hole) allowed us to run the harness behind the cluster and be able to make it to the glovebox without extending the harness at all...
You guy know that Aaron sells a 1jz plenum? its only like 180 IIRC.
It may need a little cleaning up in the ports, but hell, that take 20 min and some air guns. reguardless, port matching it to your head is always a +1
Oh I'm not doubting that the 2jz head flows better, but 125rwhp more then the 1jz?!? Idk, that's 150 to the crank, close to 25hp to each cylinder?!?
And Gurley did a comp test and was getting 156psi in each cylinder, which I believe is the standard stock 2jz.
IMO I wouldn't waste my time...
As requested. Words speak for Them self :) 17psi still needs some tuning in the top end
