LOL, I keep taking time off from the car, too, but it's unintentional. It's more like lack of time, period. :(
Brent: That's awesome, keep us updated! :) Oh, and let me know how you like that MSD kit- I've been thinking of picking it up as well.
I've been exploring the idea of making one out of fiberglass mesh/resin. I have a stock one in really good shape that's only a few years old, but I wanted to extend it a bit. This has only been a thought thus far.
Takes me about 20 minutes now. :) One key thing that makes it super easy, remove the two 17mm? nuts on the underside of the steering column, and let it drop down and rest on the driver's seat.
That way, you won't have to pull the wheel, and you will have plenty of room to work with. Just don't...
The hardline going into the tank? That's not replaceable.:( Aside from that fact, it sounds like you were trying to spin the wrong side. The SOFT LINE side is the one you need to spin, not the hardline/tank side. ;)
That's fine. In the end, this is what should be happening:
Coolant will flow from the nipple on the lower intake manifold, through a rubber hose that you WILL replace with same diameter coolant hose from a parts store, ;) - into the small steel hardline that comes from the back of the block...
Poodles: LOL, yeah. But you'll hook for sure!
Project: Yes, I know, but if you throw some 15" Weld wheels on there, you'll have more room for a thicker sidewall, hence why I stated 15". ;)
The benefit of the smaller diameter rims is that they allow for more sidewall flex. Stock sawblades are pretty heavy, in my opinion, so using them for weight savings probably isn't the best idea.
Sidewall flex (find the right air pressure on a tire meant for your application), sticky tires...
Wouldn't be a bad idea to make a heat shield for it, much like the JDM/EUDM heat shield used on right hand drive cars to protect the clutch master and brake master from exhaust heat.
I wouldn't want my PS fluid to get TOO hot. ;)
Yep, bumping a few month old thread...
Brent, Tooquick's COP setup works with the stock ignition system, so there's no need for six separate channels. Check it out here:

I've already got the coils for it. I just need to find the time to...
