A buddy of mine has a 7M he bought with his shell he was going to fix up; it also had a bent rod, lol. But that motor has a lot more problems then just a bent rod...
Well, my aftermarket guage is not installed yet. But on my 89 guage at idle I'm just at "the" line (tiny bit below sometimes) and then at just about anything other then that its 40+ psi. ~90* ambient.
supraforums sucks mainly because its only useful parts are the FS sections. It's just a buch of junk with even reciently new posts.
But yes, it goes down all the time.
That would be amazing (providing it worked nicely) too for the daily drivers. As differing temps and such won't effect the tune; since its always being adjusted.
Hey guys, I've been thinking about wheel upgrades and I have been contimplating a couple different options. However, I don't know the weights of a few of them so if anyone knows it would be great.
-91-91 5 spoke
-MKIV NA 5 spoke
Thanks!
I think your limited to more perminant options like in cabin or mechanical FP guages. Since non-carburated cars run at such a mugh higher pressure I'm assuming that a plug in tool would probably get blown right back out without being threaded in somehow.
Hey guys, I've been looking around and I think it would be interesting to switch to the NA 4.30 rear setup for my DD. Now, I know that I need the rear from an NA Sport package, and that to make the speedo read right again I'd need the NA gear for that as well. However, I was wondering what the...
IIRC, you said that this was a one-off and it costs a pretty penny.
But IJ (or Figgie if you know) if I wrre to call them up and try and get one of these, since they already have one made, could I buy one without having another one-offed?
Also, lets hear the price on this thing if anyone...
I just took out my ABS computer. Is there any way to make that light shut off with the computer removed? Or is it just something I'm going to have to live with?
Okay, Stereo stuff will work fine. Since I don't have a stereo anyway...
I saw some people were saying over at SF to wire it into the clock also. but the stereo is easier anyway.
Hey guys, whenever I get my guage pod I'll be installing my new GReddy guages but I have a question as to what I need to tap in to in order to have the work correctly. Here's what the manual says I need:
12V power source line
Ignition power source line
Parking light source line
So whats...
You guys are talking of non-synthetic oils correct? Because I noticed that when I compared my 20w-50 against some non-synthetic oil of a lesser weight the synthetic was still thinner in the cold weather then the dino oil.
So, I just went on another trip. With one difference; I removed the ABS computer, and just to make sure it is disabled I easily locked them up by jamming the petal on a wet gravel road.
The results were no smoke no smell.
Though I am not counting out locked up caliper, for now it seems to...
Yea, the wheel didn't have any more resistance then I would think it should have; I'll compare it to the left front to see if its any different.
If I were to temporarily disable the ABS how would I go about doing it. Could I just disconnect all the harnesses from the computer?
If the one caliper was locked then wouldn't the steering be pulled to one side? Only steering effected symptom I get is pulsing.
Last night I also was thinking it could have something to do wth the ABS. So, could it be that the one caliper was engauged only a tad bit? My brakes have some kind...
Hey guys, today was the 1st time I was out driving the Supra for a longer trip then 5 minutes in a while since I finally got it insured and registered. However, I ran into quite a problem with my right front brake. During the drive about 20 minutes into it after I had gotten gas on my way back...
Nope, no blue for me. Only smoke I have ever heard someone see come out of my car was black; and I think its just because perofrmance parts were removed just before that and it may have been just re-learning the fuel curve. That was the only time it has done even that.
Hmm... need to update...
That Amoil is the exact stuff that I use now. Though I don't know how worn my seals were when I bought the car a year ago using the synthetic has not turned up any leaks actually. My turbo has 104k on the clock and the rest of my motor has 75, only oil i see is a relatively tiny amount in the IC...
Well, from that obnoxous commercial thats always on SPEED; Castrol GTX does have additives to help prevent thermal breakdown. I don't beleive thats synthetic right?
As far as Amsoil... I didn't know that they even made a non synthetic solution, lol. But from the extreme quality of their other...
