Thats how you disassemble the radiator. Is it worth it? ehh, its up to you if you want to do it. For me? I would use it as an excuse to get a PWR.
IIRC, I remember seeing a very strong detergent like system for removing cabon build up but its like a stand alone machine and probably costs a good amount of money, I saw it on 2 guys garage or something a while back. It was probably the most effective way without disassembly though.
Hey guys, soon I'll have an Al driveshaft in my car and obviously I'm going to run a driveshaft loop incase something takes a turn for the worst. I was wondering which one you guys run and if there is any one that is better then the rest (lighter, better fit, etc) or if I should be fine just...
Does anyone know the specifics with which exact drive gear is needed to have my R154 match up with the 4.30 gears? Does it need to be from an auto or a 5 spd? And do I need the housing for it as well?
I do have a breaker bar, but its way too long to get under the fender... I need like a mini one for this job. I had a small piece of pipe but It was Al and I snapped it, so now I need a new one.
Rust red like mine... even then , I like seeing things go 'round. :)
I would give you a pic but its more a lack of timing cover, not a clear one that I have right now.
You need to get the speedo drive gear from a car that came factory with that diff; or just order a new one from Jay Marks Toyota (here on the forums) I would imagine. I don't know exactly what it looks like or how it goes in... sry about that.
Someone must have swapped in that 4.30 diff at...
Well, I found that out the hard way being the stubborn me that I am. I used an open ended wrench on everyone one of them. One escaped unrounded. But, visegrips seem to be working perfectly fine for all of them so I'm not too worried about it.
My next task is trying to find an impact gun...
Hey guys, today I'm replacing my rotors pads and brake lines with stainless braided ones. Now, my problem is I cannot for the life of my get them off where they connect to the rest of the line. I feel as though the nut is just going to wear away to nothing before I get it out. Is there some...
I have been thinking about going to a bypass filter remote kit for a while now, and I've been wondering if it is really worth it. I guess eventually I'll have to get one, with the next 2 or 300 bucks i happen to have.
I would not install that lexus AFM unless you have a new fuel pump, and an adjustable FPR to bump the pressure a bit. Keep it, but don't immediatly install it; thats what I'd do.
What kind of guages are they? On supraforums I recently had a thread about positioning of the sensors. For me, I'm...
I think its a blend actually. Just seeing the bottles in the commercial Mobil 1 is still the 15000 mile stuff. So I'm assuming as for now its the only 100% synthetic out of the bunch.
Just buy Amsoil :)
Mine should be here tomorrow. It has a good amount of miles on it; and I'm contimplating just taking it to a shop and having it rebuilt for good measure.
If my drunken lunatic step dad EVER did something like that. He would have been bludgened do death with the very hammer that hit my car. Wihout a doubt. Man I can't even explain how pissed I would be; just reading this story makes me hate my step dad even more then I do now... since I know he...
You should just do it yourself man. Its really not that hard after the initial task of trying to get the oil filter out of its little nook etc. Buy premium fluids and do it youself so you know its done right and to the utmost quality.... thats what I think.
