It can hurt to have the oil cooled all the time; you really want it to run right where its supposed to when the motor is warm. hence the reason for a thermostat. Sry I cannot provide a super scientific answer; but short is yes.
hmm when i got mine it was only like 65 or 85... something around there.
I just used a floor jack, but that was precarious at best. Just make sure you have a buddy to help who is not afraid to get a little pinch here and there from a giant 85 lb rusty mass, and have him balance it from the...
Samco doesn't make 7M hoses unfortunately. Though I have heard you can cut/modify the JZ ones and they fit.
But I would just not waste time and go with Toyota.
Go for the translater pro; its a new revised version of the original MAFT but it can run speed density (no MAF/AFM device needed, only presure and temp) and has more tuning/datalogging options. Plus it can be your boost controller as well.

I don't think you have a 3.91 diff. If my math is right you almost certainly have a 3.73 from an 89+ turbo. And somehow you wound up with 2 4.30 speedo drive gears. Since there is a 14% difference from 3.73 to 4.30 making it 14mph off at 100mph; or 7mph at 50mph.
So if you are indeed 7mph...
I think that our hide away lights are one of the most attractive ones on a sports car from the 80s. Porsche's are too small, have square housings and round lights (looks funny)
Vettes also have funny looking housing that I don't really like.
That "body kit" on the other page looks like a...
On my car it definitly did not bolt to the intake manifold. It's a ground right off the battery, and for me it went to one of the bolts holding the A/C bracket to the block. IDK if they changed it between years; but to me it seems a bit odd for it to go to the intake mani. But again, could have...

The only ones that appear to be different were in JZ cars. All others depending on model were the same whether it was manual or auto.
he said he can't get it open from the inside or the key if I'm deciphering that right.
Is it siezed and you can't get it open? Or can you turn the key and it just doesn't do anything. If its the 1st of the two just try put some elbow grease into it. I've seen some get fairly tough to open and...
IIRC, there isn't so much a way to see if the gasket has been chaged. However, I think that if the tick marks on the cam gears at TDC do not perfectly line up with the tick marks on the head; then it has been machined. indicating the HG was changed.
Mine was toyota changed (I have the...
The temp change is probably so insignificant from just before the Tb to after the TB I wouldn't think it'd make too much of a difference. Though I do see your point.(jonez or bob could probably explain better then myself, if I am incorrect.)
I use a spec stage 2 with a spec flywheel and I think its great. Can be very chattery if you like to launch of start off slow with no throttle(more severely in reverse). So be warned; and if you have an Al driveshaft it resonates and sounds like its just going to fall apart, lol.
From what i understand is that the sprung is much better for shock on your tranny. I use a sprung clutch.
The advantage to unsprung is like mdc has said, amd I'm going to have to go off of since I don't know a whole lot of people who run them.
