all cooling systems need to be burped. Dunno what you mean by they dont. If you mean air shouldnt be getting in there then i guess ya, but air tends to get trapped in there after doing a cooling system flush and people usually just leave it.
maybe the band needs to be adjusted? I know you can adjust them in some cars by just pulling the pan but im not sure if you can in the supra, Might just be worn? Are you properly checking the fluid level according to the tsrm?
Does the level in the overflow ever get near the top when hot? I would get a pressure tester for the cooling system and pressurize that to see whats going on. If your radiator cap is bad it could be letting out all pressure into the overflow, makeing that tank spit out coolant onto the street...

You can put a piece of tape around the vac line and one on the port and color them the same color, just get a pack of sharpies all different colors. You only need to have the colors for the general area they dont ALL have to be a different color all over the engine.
