Wow that sounds like a hell of a mechanic. Also, you might want to check the valve guide clearance while you have everything apart again, because even if you have new valve seals, if the guides are worn youre still going to be burning oil.

There is a coolant line that comes up through the short piece of the intake manifold that goes into the Idle Air Control Motor, and from the IAC to the throttle body etc.. This might be what youre looking at

Im pretty sure you would have to do more than just shut cylinders off to increase your mileage, it may even hurt it from the constant compression and friction. In the gm motors where they disable cylinders, they actually stop the valves from opening, so as one piston on one side of the engine is...

You sure its not leaking out only when youre driving? Or does it actually smoke?

there is no asbestos in any brake pads on the market here. I could understand bedding in high performance pads if theres something different about them, but regular stock replacements should not need any break in. I would be afraid of glazing the pads more than anything.

why would it matter? wouldn't any water on the pads/rotor dry up a few moments after you start braking? Doesn't that stuff get very hot very fast?

Its not uncommon for the wires to break in the rubber accordion between the door and the body. Moisture gets trapped in there and rots the wires, plus the constant bending of the wires makes them weak and they break. Something to look into after you have tested everything else out...

i had the same problem, no hand waxing helped much if any, buffing brought a shine to it but it still isn't a very deep red like it should be. All the edges wore through the paint when buffing also so be really careful, the paint is very very thin after having so many layers get oxidized

i don't know why people dog on this so much. Half the people on this forum with coil overs got them for the height adjustability over the performance aspect anyways. Its just a cheaper way to get a similar result, its not like the supra is set up for corners anyways.

They are not cooling the cylinders with exhaust. Its an inert gas so it does not burn, it just takes up volume in the cylinder.

When would you have part throttle and high load? If you were under load you would throttle it more.. But regardless egr doesn't activate under load, its only activated during cruising. So if you're feeling the car accelerate better without the egr you had a problem with your system.

Does this disable the EGR? If so, you may want to look into it a little further. I know a lot of engines NEED the EGR to keep the car from pinging in certain conditions, and you could damage the engine if the 7mge is an engine that does this.
