One easy way to figure this out, change your oil and smell it. Does it smell more like fuel than oil? Is it extremely thin/watery? With 440's you'll notice a more mannered idle along with better acceleration and MPG.

Um, messing up on a rewire and making it run worse is impossible unless you tried to rewire the wrong wire. Messing up on rewire=Basically unplugged.

Don't you think spark plugs would of been one of the first places to check since you checked everything. Also, broken spark plugs would of been the first thing mentioned.
