they work with you cold system, it keeps the throttle body from icing up in the cold. you can bypass it, but no point. its till gonna leave ugly ports open.

make sure the wheels are straight and mark where the coupler where it connect to the the sterring rack, otherwise you will have to pull the wheel and re-center it.
