they are directional. the copper element that lets it open has to be in the engine side of the housing, otherwise it will never heat enough to open.

im going to guess you plugged off all the egr ports? also what shape is the iac hose in? it still soft or has it gone to hockey puck rubber?

its the front half from tranny to center berring. put them side by side. from my 88 auto - 5spd swap the auto shaft was only slightyl shorter. the auto shaft youke even fit in the 5 spd! just the dust sheild wont cover the trans. but being a non moving shaft i dont think its critical.

any tank will work, you can use the non turbo style one, the 4th gen gm f bodys have a nice black tank. just go look around a junkyard and fine you you like.

maybe the tach in the cluster is bad? or bad wire behind the cluster?

thats really weird. the tach gets its signal from the ignighter so dont matter if its moving or not. id suspect a bad wire from ignigter to dash that works under load. iirc its the solid green wire, ill get pics in the am when its light out of what wire.

retro spec has been good for interior parts ie the center console trim. so id imagine there exterior trim is the same
