yes my car is a targa, so i got the wet noodle when the top is off. i had them on my t-top f body and they worked damn good. so ill have to fab my own set.

ive looked and cant seem to find a set. does anyone make a set? or is this a job for my local welder to fab up?

it is entirely possible that since the hg has been done, the bearings may have had damage from the previous bhg, and now they have failed.

ok maybe i am wrong, but what in the head is gold in color? only thing i see is the valve guides. also i remembered you have the data logger installed in you car, pull the file for his run and see what he did?

dont ask how it gets past. might be due to the fact the most filters are a paper/cloth element, the high pressure metal filings probably has the same effect as sandblasting. it must get past casue they sell magnet attachments for oil filters to keep the metal bits in the filters.

oil pump. the strainer isnt fine enough to filter it out. my 5m had same thing happen to it.

yep berrings.

pull the dipstick, or drain it. see if the oil looks like metalic paint. useually a good sign of bad berrings
