    Our beautiful 87

Thanks Loki, Is that the same black 89 you've always had? It's really come a long way from jackstands and red underfenders. ;)

Haha, he lives nearby, so there isn't much else to see around here. No offense taken.

    Our beautiful 87

Hey guys! Heidi and I found ourselves in a nice park with the digital camera the other day, so we took a few photos. Hope you enjoy them! This view will look much sexier with the addition of a tinted blinker cover from Kevin M (Come on group Buy!) -----Note the sunshade from Kevin...

    Broke subframe and diff!

Thanks for the input guys. I think he's going to get the subframe welded, and I found him an NA diff for $75, so maybe we can do other things with the "way too cheap" NA. whahahaha!:D

    Broke subframe and diff!

Huh? Yeah, the broken car is a turbo targa. The parts car has an NA lsd, so 4.30:1 gears which should be fine for now. Thanks for the backup on the immature newb, guys. This site has a reputation for being a place where we can come and get real answers to real questions, and have a good...

    oil pressure wtf

Too much oil also makes the crank whip the oil into a froth, and froth is full of air. Oil full of air is about as useful as no oil at all.

    Broke subframe and diff!

Heidis brother, Andrew was cruising around a couple of nights ago, and while driving moderately in second gear, the diff let out a grinding pop and now the car doesn't move under its own power. When I got under it to look, the diff is leaking, the forward bolt mount for the diff on the...

    oil pressure wtf

Yeah, the sender is in the oil galery, which is presurized. So the oil does not move away from the sending unit, it moves away from the oil pickup, which results in an empty oil galery, which results in a dead motor.

CODE 14. Lets see if you guys can help.

There's a chance that the arcing wire that you electrical taped was shorting a little, and killed the coil.

    Turbo Injectors On An N/a

Everything bolts up, you just don't have the oil feed and return holes for the turbo. So you have to use custom oil lines.

Gauging interest....Bolt on 62-1 complete turbo for 7MGTE

Good to hear it has done so well with the dsm guys. I guess physical size can be deceiving.

Gauging interest....Bolt on 62-1 complete turbo for 7MGTE

The one thing I see that looks a little dismal is the tight AR on the exhaust side. you said .55, right? IIRC the stock CT is closer to .63, I would see that tight AR as a big restriction for top end flow. although it should provide quick spool, provided it doesn't surge/choke the compressor.

Since it's so hot out these days...

Thanks Everybody. I'm going to comp test it because I have a compression tester, and I don't have a block tester. I will buy a block tester if I determine that I have tested everything that can be tested for free and still have a problem. The car has been maintained meticulously at the...

Since it's so hot out these days...

I have a Q. Recently, the supra started showing some very odd cooling characteristics. The outside temperature was around 95 or so, and as I came down from cruising speed to stop and go portland traffic, the temp gauge started fluctuating like it does under boost with a BHG. What is odd, is...
