hmmmm tamper proof screw. need a special tool, or cut a slot in the screw and try to remove it, or weld a 1.4 extenstion to it and spin it out
but is the whole coluum different from 91 - 89? seems to me like it would be easier to swap the whole thing.
more or less normal. aslo remember your car is the 89-92 style, so its been breathing oil and soot for the last 15+ years. and the soot yes you will have to live with it.
on the butt dyno, no noticable difference. from stock to a high flow you notice it, but from high flow to none i never noticed a difference. im using the hks green foam filter.
the 7m dont have a PCV valve like most cars, there a striaght thru vent. a PCV oil catch can is only way to slow it down. the EGR will leave a layer of carbon (black soot) in the intake, and as your in CA you cant disable it or you will fail emission testing. only way to deal with that is...
my 5mge did this and turned out it was the AFM. this was after replacing the dist, tb, ecu, intake gaskets and about 1500 later.... so try a new(to you) afm

blue line> ive never seen a boost controller hooked to main vac before, should be on the turbo only.
purple line> the hole is where the stock bov use to re-circ to. as your venting to atmosphere you need to plug the hole with a bolt or something to retun that line to...
this is why i have a satalite phone for when i leave the counrty, its a flat rate of 2 bucks a min (roughly) no matter where i am. of course its no smart phone, so no texting or facebooking on this hunk of lead.
