    If the compressor wheel is touching the compressor housing, stop running this turbo, PERIOD. It is already causing irreversible damage, if you keep running it you risk shattering the wheel and tossing the blades into the intercooler.

    building a kit, yep. hx35 12cm2 non waste gate housing using the t4 DM manifold with a PD Motorsport adapter and a hks 50mm external waste gate. hoping for 450 rwhp on a low lag setup.

    Uh? I don't think a CT26 will get over 450 with an amazing tune unless you crank the compression way up with one hell of a clipped turbine and E85.

    Must make different manifolds harder to install due to the less 'wiggle' room? I just heli'd my own with the same thread so I can use OEM studs.

    If you were to try and piece that kit together, it'll cost you nearly the same. That kit even includes the cutting lube and anti-seize. Cheap+Supra just don't mix.

    A bad waste gate actuator won't cause symptoms like fuel cut unless it's stuck closed. The PSI not holding is simply because the waste gate hole can't flow enough and spikes up to 12 PSI and settles around 10, it also doesn't help that the CT26 runs out of breath around 5k RPM.

    How high did you pressurize the intercooler piping? Sometimes smoke testing doesn't go high enough. What is your AFR doing when you go WOT?

    That's a narrow band. IIRC you can hook that up to read your VF signal, as I believe it reads 0-5v which is what the VF signal outputs.

    No wideband but you have an AFR gauge? How is your VF signal while driving?

    do you have a wideband? what are your cruise and wot afrs? what is your idle AFR? how is your vf signal at idle and 2500 rpm cruise?
