That hose is part of the PCV system. It never sees positive pressure, only vacuum.
I personally would check every clamp to make sure they're at least tight. The ones in the bumper are easily reached if you loosen the plastic fender lining to the passenger tire.
^This. Timing light is electrical timing, not mechanical timing.
Double check your mechanical timing first. Also, what dowel pin hole did you use to install the cam gears?
Fix your code 52. Add 550cc injectors with the lex afm. Keep pushing the engine like this and you'll soon be posting a thread about why the 7m is such a bad engine because you already have rodknock.
After daily driving this and driving it very hard, I'm starting to get a tapping sound in the engine near 2500-3000 rpms under moderate load. Time to pull the engine out and apart to beef it up a tad bit.
