As for the actual number mine ohm'd out to be, I don't remember. I rewired mine using RG-6 coaxial cable with soldered ends and the shielding grounded.
Removing EGR actually hurts MPG and performance at part throttle. At WOT, EGR is deactivated thus not hurting performance. It also keeps the back cylinders cooler and the EGT's down. Removing EGR on these cars is possibly the worst thing you can do to a DD IMO. Unless you make the steps to...
I can only spin my tires up to about 35, then it's all grab and go from there. That's with trying to make them spin.
If I'm trying to launch it, I get a little bit of spin at the top of first but I'll shift slow enough into 2nd to give the tires a chance to grip before disengaging the clutch.
I wouldn't say that every boost leak will show a code 34. Code 34 is only abnormal boost pressure. If you have a big enough boost leak, it can cause a code 34 but I wouldn't say that the small leaks cause a 34.
I've had leaks before that didn't have a code 34.
Are the wires to it still intact? I'm not sure if it does but it could be jumping a step. Instead of settling where it wants, it's bouncing back and forth to try and keep the ecu happy.

With ^this being from his sig, I'd say it's a 2j.
Nice, I'm getting the short outlet housing from http://www.gillettdiesel.com/12cm2non-wastegatedturbinehousing.aspx so I've got a little bit more room to play with. I'm running the 'new' style manifold from driftmotion.
I hate to mill a brand new housing but I've got little choice left.
I...
Mine does the same thing. I've held the throttle at various RPM's and can't get it to repeat. Oil pressure is still good, I'm buying a mechanical gauge to verify it. I do know that some of my valves are out of spec for the shims.
Which downpipe did you go with? I know the hx35 has an odd outlet size and my 3" v-band clamp just slides over it. Did you get the outlet machined off then a new 3.5" v-band welded on? I'd measure my DM downpipe but they didn't ship it to me..
Got any links?
The hx35 snap ring? Just start one end of it, then while holding that end with a screw driver, gently push the rest of the ring into the groove. Work your way around the housing slowly as well.
I wonder how hard you'd have to push the HX35 with the 62mm wheel in order to get 600 crank hp. There's people with DSM's that make 500+ on 7 blade HX35s at like 30 PSI.
