    1987 Auto trans problem

Not even sure if this trans. has one. Some transmissions are electronically controlled via the tps sensor. Like I said, I have a manual, and haven't messed with the auto in one of these. Actually, the more I look at the TSRM, the more I think it works off the TPS(correct me if I'm wrong), as...

    1987 Auto trans problem

Do these have a kick down cable(I have a 5spd., haven't messed with an auto.)? If so, sounds like its out of adjustment.

Oil Leak @ Head? After BHG job problems...

No, have to get new HG if you pull the head. I'd put some dye in the oil(you can get it at any parts store), and look for where its coming from.

    won't start

Spark? Fuel? Are all the injectors plugged in correctly? Codes? There are way to many possibilities here. Go through this trouble shooting guide: http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=EM&P=4 and get back to us.

    Idle problem

Yellow trim adhesive for the door trim. Comes in a tube like silicone. Make sure that both surfaces are clean(won't work through dirt). Might check the wiring for the tps as well. Had a problem with mine, turned out the pin in the harness was loose in the connector.

    leaking coolant!!

Borrow a coolant system pressure tester from local parts store. Pump it up to 15, and look for the leak.

    PROBLEMS.

You shouldn't have to do the block, as you just want to use a stock type gasket. Your not looking to get another 100,00 outta the motor, but you don't want it to blow the h.g. again in a couple weeks, either. Jonathan1- I never have looked at them side by side, and have no need. Chlori is just...

    PROBLEMS.

Yes, its necessary. Don't take the chance, and have to do it all over again. It's right around $40 to have it milled at most places around here (I live just outside Houston). Why not pay it for the peace of mind??? Your friend got lucky... for now.

    PROBLEMS.

lol, the "crappy" Fel-pro will be just fine, and cheaper than the stealer. For what you want, this is the way to go. Just make sue you get the head milled so you don't do it twice.... BTW: I used Fel-pro gaskets when I did the h.g. on mine a couple years ago. Still holding fine, and I'm a...

    Rebuild

Late 70's Celica? Build a trike(that would be fun ;) )? Rebuild it, drop(well, maybe not exactly drop, but...) it in a Civic, and spray the sh*t out of it....

    PROBLEMS.

Don't do it. Take the head to the machine shop, and at least have it milled. If not, you'll do it again real soon. Go to A.Z., or O'Reilly's, whatever, and get the Felpro kit. I think A.Z. or Excel also carries Roc, which is cheaper than the Felpro, just don't know about quality. Either...

    freeze plugs

The thing that gets me the most, is how loud your valvetrain is. Sounds like a diesel. If the shims were off enough, it could be the valves are closing to early, and either not letting in enough air/fuel, or not letting out enough exhaust gas. Did you check the clearances by the TSRM?

    Burning Coolant (BHG? Intake?)

Hmmm... have to take a throttle body off to see how the coolant passages are routed, and whether or not a torn/faulty gasket could possibly leak coolant. Maybe if it(t.b.) was cracked in just the right place... As far as anything technical on the 7m, you need this...

    electric fans

cool man, just don't forget to turn them on....

    electric fans

lol. Try the fans off of a 98 Contour. Has a low speed resistor that you can use on a temp. switch for the motor, and full speed that you can hook up to the a/c high pressure switch(which is what the 2 little fans are hooked up to). They have they're own shroud, which covers over 95% of the...

    electric fans

Those 2 little fans are the cooling fans for the a/c condenser. They help cool the freon, which helps your a/c blow colder.

    GTE Ignition on GE

Actually, I think 935motorsports has gte electronics on a n/a motor. Search should bring it up.... Edit: Meh, it just ends at an oil leak. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46973
