Is the 7.5amp "charge" fuse on the pre 89 the same as the 7.5amp "ign" fuse in the TSRM?

Sounds like a short somewhere? I don't have a meter here at home to test mine with. Maybe a burned out charge warning bulb? What happens if...
4.6L garbage. Personally love Ford, they keep me very busy ;) Would I trade my 87 n/a Supra for a 96 GT? No way, no how. Yeah, they're quick in a straight line, but that's all they are. I'm amazed at how the quality of American vehicles has dropped, and Ford is a good example. That car...
It's under the intake. Put the driver's side on jack stands, and look up under the intake, just behind the motor mount, bolted right to the trans, next to the motor. If you know what a starter looks like, its kinda hard to miss...
Make sure the little wire is connected to the starter correctly. The little locking tab likes to break off, and the connector will slip back and not get a good connection, or actually fall off.
I rarely use the stock radio harness for an aftermarket radio(most of the time someone else already hacked it up anyway). It isn't hard to run a new harness for the radio power and ground wires, and find the stock speaker wires in the connector. I'd even go so far as to run all new speaker...
Spray out all the plug wire boots with WD-40. It will displace any water and coolant, and give you a good contact again. Find and fix the coolant leaks before they cause a bigger, more complicated problem.
I replaced mine with the female crimp type spade connector, then pinched it with pliers to make it tight on the starter connector. A little heat shrink to seal it nicely, and problem solved.
Horsepowerfreaks still has Brian Crower stage 2 and 3 cams.

You can always get custom regrinds, or hard welded cams as well. There is an excellent thread about cams stickied over on SF.
Exhaust is going to do...
puffing white smoke and miss = BHG(most likely)
Driving it when you know its got a problem = :stickpoke
I'm sure the temp gauge read good. Its funny how they do that when there's no more water in there.
Not a wiring expert by any means, but I did have a similar problem. turns out that the plug for the headlight retract motors has a little notch in it, and the harness has a little tab(maybe the other way around). They weren't lined up correctly, and the lights wouldn't shut off or retract...
Put $2500 o.b.o. and a phone # on the back window, and drive it. Cars that are driven sell much better than cars that are sitting. Even better if it has working A/C and heat.
There's always a sucker that just has to have your car, and will pay what you want. You just have to be patient...
Quote: "And I don't want to add coolant because the coolant in it now is red and I don't know how to properly mix."
Just adding straight water would be MUCH better than running with it low. From the code 22, I'd test the water temp. sensor(hint: Its in the EFI section, you'll find it ;) ) and...
If you're gonna use crimp connectors, use the noninsulated ones, and heat shrink over them. I use either method, depending on what I'm doing, but always use heat shrink to seal the joint.
I'd take the alternator back to O'Rielly's and pitch a fit that they're POS alternator came apart and ripped the belt, and they should replace both. Looks like maybe the nut wasn't torqued properly on the alternator. Also, reach in there(with the car off), and spin the water pump pulley. It...
