The one from E-bay has to be modified in a few ways. Weld the bottom part to the collectors. Cut the O2 bung off that they put on(its wrong in every way possible), and weld a universal one in just behind the "Y" pipe that gets welded to the collectors. Drill out the bolt holes in the flange a...
That egr plate isn't to bad. I had to do mine recently. Use a short 12mm(I think) socket and 1/4" drive ratchet. You can remove the bolts that attach the trans. mount to the cross member, and jack the back of the trans. up to give you more room between the head and firewall.
The real PITA...
Actually, i still have a vibration in my car even after replacing the d.s. I'm gonna try replacing the c.v. axles next, as I've had similar symptoms in fwd cars, and that wound up being the problem.
I tried the center bearing from O'Riellys, and it was completely wrong. Thought it was boxed wrong, had them order another, same thing. I wound up going with the 1-piece(steel) from driveshaft shop. The only problem I see with the DSS driveshaft is that it could be about a 1/2" or so longer...
Ok, then jack up the car, and check for leaks. Look at the pan gasket, output shaft seal, sensors, dip stick tube, and speedo sensor. It could be getting blown back on the exhaust while you're driving. Look at the exhaust for wet or stained spots.

Upgrade the suspension. You could make a 1000+ hp, but if you can't transfer it to the ground, your wasting your time. The more power you have, the better your suspension needs to be. The steel Lipp traction bars look like a great improvement, as well as the Whiteline(?) or ST sway bars and...
Won't be stock, but it will work to fix the problem(just find the right size for your application)....

O'Rielly's(I think) sells this thing you put on a heater hose so you can bend it 90 deg. without kinking. Looks like a spring...
Burning what? Oil, coolant, rubber, plastic, trans. fluid? A "burning smell" could be anything from leaking valve covers, a plastic grocery bag melted on the exhaust, to a heater hose leaking on the exhaust.
My dad likes my car, my stepmom won't go near it(one ride was enough ;) ), my mom has yet to see it, and no one, absolutely no one, but me drives or works on it.
