    MkIII to MkIV Gauges done

The white faces with everything else black throws it off. Need some black trim rings to finish them as well.

    Exhaust studs

You would think that they wouldn't strip loosening, but its pretty common. Cadillac Northstar's with the aluminum blocks have the same problem with the head bolts(I'll never do one again, ugh...). Something about the different metals corroding to each other. I'm not sure how to explain it...

It's the head that strips, thus the helicoils

With the key on, jumper Fp and B+ in the diag. box. You should hear fuel flowing in the fuel rail if the pump is working. Could also be fuel pump relay, resistor, wiring, some other stuff that I can't think of now.

    Exhaust studs

PB Blaster on all the nuts and let them soak for a good 15 min. Come back, put a socket and short extension on the nut, and give it a good whack with a hammer. Take the nut off/ stud out. Move on to the next one.

I don't have that cable either... The throttle cable is the one just to the left of your circle, with the little orange boot on it.

umm.... 10 qts. is twice as much as it holds. 6 is okay, but 10.... Which stick are you checking? It should be right next to the exhaust, in a skinny tube, and go down to the block, not back toward the trans. The handle should be a black "T" type. Where are you putting the oil in at?

    Identifying Cams

Meh, thought maybe they would have a marking somewhere, or be different from stock in an identifiable way, if they were say, HKS, TRD, or maybe Group A or whatever. Wouldn't the regrinds have a shorter lobe base, or would you be able to see where they did any hard welding to raise the lift and...

some sort of fitting on the frame rail? undercar? wtf?!

My 87(N/A) has a hook on the frame, and a hook on the trans. mount. The hanger for the stock cat has a hook on each side. It also has the nuts welded to it for connecting the cat to the cat back.

Not benzine here(that I know of), but Ethanol. Sometimes it's good to read the little signs at the pump. Right around 10%, iirc.

1990 N/A starting problems and idling issues...

More information: I reset his timing to 14, tested the tps, reset the tps, checked, cleaned(the stepper motor had some corrosion in it, and the grease was bad), and lubed the ISC valve. His motor is freshly rebuilt, and I checked the timing belt before he installed the motor. He bypassed the...

some sort of fitting on the frame rail? undercar? wtf?!

Is it kinda hook shaped, and have a little plate behind it that's bolted to the inside of the frame? Real close to where the cat. converter is?

    Fuel System not acting right

Maybe the fuel pump resistor, or the relay? You can bypass the resistor. There's a good write up about the fuel pump resistor and relay by Shaeff here somewhere(search...)
