    Relocating Coils *HELP*

Hey thanks for the pictures. But just one question. How do you actually bolt them to the firewall? Do you take the inside dash apart to get to the back of the holes in the firewall? Unless there is enough meat in the firewall to be tapped?

    Relocating Coils *HELP*

Well that's fine. I'm more concerned about the weight on the firewall. Can I use the stock bracket at all? Or do I have to make one up?

    Relocating Coils *HELP*

A dizzy is just a CPS with a rotor slapped on the top. Seriously, take a dizzy and a CPS - lay them on a table, and ask someone to tell which is which - you wont be able to :icon_razz So I'm using the dizzy as a CPS, no rotor and making my own cap as the 7M-GTE CPS doesn't fit (hits my...

    Relocating Coils *HELP*

Hey all, I am looking at mounting my 7M-GTE coils on the firewall lip like a lot of you have. My question is this, do you use a special brace under the coils? I would have thought the coils would be too heavy and would stress and bend the lip without a brace? I have a 1G-GTE engine, so I...

    The 7M Stinger Thread

Yeah thanks again for all your help. suprra_girl is bringing me over some plugs tomorrow night so I'll be able to wire the igniter and coils in :biglaugh: Then I've got to wire in the fuel pump relay, attach the IAT sensor and wire that in, then thats it :) Will have most of the...

Sorry jetjock. I know now the drawings are wrong :( What I meant by my drawings was, exactly what you said. Thank you so much for the clarification. I will have a sit down and a think about it again tonight when I get home after having a look at a 7M's loom etc Again, thank you for your...

    The 7M Stinger Thread

OK, so maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. I am certain tho, that at the coil end, they only have a 4 pin plug. 3 for each igniter and 1 common. Then there is also an earth wire/ground off the coil bracket. See I'm using the 7M-GTE igniter and coils for my 1G-GTE with a Stinger ECU, and I...

    The 7M Stinger Thread

The coils themselves only have a 4 pin plug on them, so how can the 6 pin (5 wire) plug go to them? I reckon the 6 pin "should" go to the ECU with IGDa, IGDb, IGT, TAC, and B+ and the 4 pin with C1, C2, C3 and IGF to the coils. THAT would make sense to me :icon_conf

    The 7M Stinger Thread

And on a second/third note. Here's a picture of the igniter. I have drawn on the pic what the wires are labeled by Toyota inside the igniter. I dont understand, the plugs seem like they are swapped in regards to the wire colors/labels. The lower plug is the 6 pin that runs to the ECU...

    The 7M Stinger Thread

Much like this page: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=Main&Page=040 Why does IGDB on the ECU go to IGT on the igniter, and IGDB on the ECU go to IGF on the igniter etc?? Whats going on? The plug I have from the ECU to the igniter is a 6 pin plug, yet...

    The 7M Stinger Thread

Aaron, I have a question about wiring in the igniter. On the below page, it shows the wires all round the wrong way, it's saying that the plug from the igniter to the ecu is a 4 pin one, and the one to the coils is a 6 pin. thats round the wrong way isnt it?? I'm very baffled...

    distributor trigger wires

I've been suggested to use NE as the trigger for the distributor, G1 as the sync and IGT for the ignitor Does this sound right?

    distributor trigger wires

Thanks for that! So IGT goes to the trigger on the distributor? What about "sync" and which should go to the ignitor?
