Right so I've changed the injectors and the miss is still there.
I tried raising the fuel pressure and its still there.
The plugs look ok but I cant find my feeling gauge so I'll have to check their gap in the weekend.
Next option would be new plugs and try another ignitor
Starting to run...

Some appear to have burnt oil on, that will be from the previous build with a broken piston.
Surely if it were an electrical miss there would be black plugs and un-burnt fuel?
If an injector was misfiring then there wouldn't be any excess fuel and...
Yeah - I'll double check the plugs tomorrow along with swapping out injectors.
Not sure on the brand - cheap brand - but I have changed them once already and the miss never went away.
Dwell in the stinger is 2.6ms - I tried up to 3 and down to 2 but there's no difference...
I will take them out tonight and have another look. Last time I looked they were pretty good.
Its not totally load dependant - I can cruise along at say 3,000rpm and its fine - but if I'm going up a hill at 3,000rpm so I have to press the gas a little bit more then the miss is there...
Hey all
I have a 1G-GTE with a 4424 Stinger.
I have put this thread in the 7M-GTE section as I am using 7M injectors, ignitor and coils.
I have a "very" bad miss from 2,300rpm right up till around 5,000 rpm when full boost is reached and the miss seems to go away a little. I say a little...
Well thats the thing. Inside these things there's nothing to them. The only thing I can see that's got any wear on it is the small rubber grommet/seal that goes around the shaft, that seals the front section from the middle.
I cant see how this would cause a slow reaction in the BOV's...
Well I've checked it over and over and over again - and this is the thing:

The red diaphram hits on the vacuum source that's on the rear housing - which stops it from opening properly. I will double check it all again tho just to make sure....
It’s a stage 2 T3 with 58-59mm compressor wheel and .58A/R exhaust housing.
I think it's a Turbonetics - but no-one knows for sure. I've been told by a reputable turbo shop they doubt it’s a "cheap china" knock-off or "eBay turbo". The only distinguishing features are, its water cooler, the...
Yeah I was thinking about getting a 2nd one and putting it straight after the turbo, i.e. before the intercooler. I was even thinking a Bosch one, like the upgrade for the stock 7M one....
thoughts on this?
OK I removed the insert - but the sound still remains. It's deffinatly a squeak coming from the turbo, not the BOV - must be time for a new bov - bugger....
Here's a few videos.
The first one you can really hear it but the 2nd I cut the video a bit too short - but I love the speedo in the 2nd one :)
Oh and ignore the rev counter - its not really accurate.

Yeah it's just like an HKS one. Internally VERY similar, to the extend I cant fault it.
I've checked all the vacuum lines and tried a few different sources as well. I have no vacuum leaks. On idle the valve sometimes gets sucked open (its fine as I'm running a stand alone with map so doesnt...
