How to Check for Codes

It is possible that a code can be stored without the check engine light being on. There could be a lot of different things that can cause these symptoms. Tps could be misaligned, cps could be malfunctioning, or the wiring could be shorting, fouled plugs, faulty wires, bad O2 sensor, etc...

There are some allen key type plugs for the oil galley in the center of the head. Can't remember which ones are coolant, and which one's are oil. Check to see if there is oil running down one or two in particular.

The oil pressure gauge only shows that: Pressure. If the oil gets low enough to effect the oil pressure, your screwed. It would mean that the pick up tube was sucking air, which is a good way to trash bearings. Check the oil level on the dip stick.
