    Cloverfield goodness

Kinda?? Anyway, I saw Cloverfield Sat., and liked it. It wasn't as bloody as I thought it would be, but it was still good. I really liked the close up of the monster in the end. Evil looking, like a monster should be. The end was good, non-typical. I already expected them to die, as the...

    battery question...

lol. The Red or Gold top Duralast batteries are supposed to be pretty good. Iirc, have a 2 year full warranty as well. Anything about the Supra, that would be shared between both turbo and n/a(suspension, batteries, wheels, brakes, etc.) post it here in the general section. For specific...

    Help..

I guess that could be possible, but I don't know how to test it. You'll have to pull it to have it tested, or send it back to have it warrantied. You could call the manufacturer, and see if they'll do some trouble shooting with you...

    Lamarossa is back! Auto Tranny?

Ahhh, thanks. Well in that case, I'll stand by my first paragraph. I wasn't saying it was bad, just wondered why, as I've never actually talked to the man.

heat tabs: http://www.partslocator.com.au/supplies/cid/3/category/Heat%20Tabs/parent/0/t/supplies I don't think all of them work exactly this way, but you get an idea of what they are. Machine shops, junk yards, and auto. mechanics use them all the time. Usually, they're installed on...

    head removal

Remove the least amount possible, and label EVERYTHING. For coolant lines, vac., and harness connectors, label them with tape and a pen(I usually write "Inj.2", pull the tape off the roll, and wrap it around the harness by the connector, so that the ends of the tape are together, leaving a...

    engine problems

Did you drain the tank and put new gas in it? On any car that's been sitting for a few years, a full tune up, timing belt, water pump, t.stat., and oil change should come first. Check all the rubber lines(coolant and vac.), and change any that are weathered, swollen, or hard. Change the oil...

    Lamarossa is back! Auto Tranny?

I've seen the same symptoms before. Cable adj. maybe, but I've seen most with clutches and steels seized together, broken planetary, or the one way bearing thing(sorry, don't remember the term). Basically, ran out of fluid for one reason or another, and trashed. Good luck. Just out of...

    Help..

Clutch is in backwards, loose/kinked/broken line, defective master/slave(especially if its Auto Zone brand, I went through a couple before I got a good one from somewhere else), you adjusted the pedal too much, or any combination of the above.

    crank

Comp Cams part number 975. It's actually the inner valve spring from a big block Chevy dual spring kit. 55 lbs seat pressure, 127 lbs open pressure as measured by Jim J. Eric V. confirms seat load of approx. 60 lbs. Stockers measure around 35 lbs seat pressure. I don't know where I got that...

My Supra will no longer be a rental!

I never let ANYONE drive my car, especially not a customer. I must say, though, that this sounds more like a poorly timed coincidence, and not the other guy's fault. Especially if you're already having oil problems. Check the valve shims. I had one come out on my old car. Same symptoms.
