    Auto tranny questions!!!!!

3-4 IS 3rd to OD. So when you say it 'locks up' , what actually happens. Describe to us what takes place. Off hand, I am thinking the 'lockup' totorque converter is locking up immediately when it shifts to OD. Also...go here to finish the trans service, which may help, and won't hurt...

    whats up with the locks?

Well thats because the locks need cleaning and lube, so there is a lot of resistance. While your in there, you should clean the connectors and the grounds, for better current flow.:icon_mad: :icon_razz

New member, Looking to buy MK3

Well, IMO, if you don't want to get a bunch of HP, and you don't want to keep spending a bunch of $$$ keeping it up, I would NOT get the turbo MKIII. There are more components, and they are expensive to fix. N/A is what you want, by your post. You can add about 20hp with intake and exhaust...

    Tracking down a Misfire!

Many times the gurggle, backfiring exhaust is due to a leak in the exhaust system. Have a friend help by litely going up & down on the throttle while you check the exhaust for leaks . Many times its helpful to use a 'mechanics stethoscope' to listen with. How bad is the engine miss, really...

    automatic rpms

Me bad....lock-up converter will function in 3rd gear with OD button off. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/a/A_22.html The n/a axle ratio is 4.33 & the turbo is 3.9 (?)....so the speeds will be different at 3k rpm.

    Brake Master Cylinder?

ABS is a computer controlled VALVE BOX. You can NOT bleed the brakes on your car like the non abs system, as I learned in a brake seminar given by Bendix Brakes Co. The TSRM seems to say just bleed them like you don't have ABS, but I don't feel that is correct. I think you got air into the...

¿! 7 sec of craking to start when cold !?

Easy enough to check the CSI system. Next time its cold, unplug the connector for the CSI temp switch, and jump the terminals in the connector. This will manually coplete the circuit to the injector during cranking. If it starts right up, do it again after its cold. If it starts right up...

    idle wierd, battery connection?

And I ask you, "you silly english man", why was you battery not properly secured???? Are you too poor to get, at the least, a universal battery tie-down??? If you answer yes to that, you had just better sell the Supra, as you will NOT be able to 'support' it. They are a very 'needy' car...

By the way, all the threaded 02's I've ever seen (like 100's) are the same thread size. When I needed one for mine, I just called up Carquest, and they carry them in stock, $36.:biglaugh:
