yeah, get the 1jz efi wiring diagram and check continuity of the 3 map sensor wires using your multimeter set to ohms.

i've used a 3sgte map on my 1j, worked perfect. either your map is bad, or the wiring to the map is bad. or.....your ecu. it's not hard to check, it's just 3 wires from the ecu to the map basically.

welcome to the site. and to answer your questions, if the top of the shock has a cover with wires, then you do have adjustable suspension. the switch for it is right near the shifter. what it does is adjust the dampening. also, yeah, the gte has a stock boost gauge in the cluster. good luck...

refer to ecu pinouts and the wiring diagram for the afm circuit. set your multimeter to 200 ohms, place one lead of the meter at the afm connector in the engine bay, the other lead at the ecu connector inside the car. you may need a safety pin to probe the terminals because the leads probably...
