I also thought they were the same at first until I tried to fit an A70 rad into the X83. JZX83 has that funky hydrofan setup where the fan cooler is built into the rad.
if you dont the JZA70 chassis harness, just solder on a connector and run 2 wires from connector EA2 of the 1JZ engine harness to your temp sensor.
look at supras.nl for the EA2 pinouts.
1jzgte and 2jzgte pumps are the same. are you planning to put a used 1jz pump on a 2jz block? they are about $150 at the dealership with a discount, so it's best just to get a new one.
I've seen pics of aristo twins on a 1j where it appeared they just bolted the entire assembly on, meaning it was using the factory y-pipe and such. I don't know what it took to bolt them on that way though.

me and bryan (fstlane88) are in the process of installing ct12bs on his 1j. the kit consists of two front ct12bs and a custom y-pipe. a stud was drilled and tapped on the turbo flange to bolt to the 1jz 3-bolt manifold.
not to hijack the thread, but do the wires going from the fan ecu to the a/c high/low pressure switch and a/c amplifier have anything to do with controlling the fan speed? are they of any importance if you have ac installed???
