Depends on how well you drive. I have a Fidanza on my DD Miata as well, and I think its the best mod I've ever done. I've driven with it daily for just over a year now. It only weighs 8.3 lbs, 10 lbs lighter than stock; that is a very drastic change that is meant for road racing, not street...
3 and 4 arent bad. Take off one side of the 3000 pipe and move it out of the way. You can even leave the throttle assembly alone.
As for me, I've been going through the worst year of my life, having some mental genetic disorder that I've had to drive to a doc about 3 hours away for that often...
540rwhp (630 HP flywheel, 844 CFM) according to the not2fast.com calculators will require 3" IC piping... 470rwhp (740 CFM, 550 HP flywheel) is the upper limit for 2.75". From 470rwhp-540rwhp, 3.0", from 540rwhp to 660rwhp, 3.25". That's with assloads of assumption, such as a constant 15%...
I hate that TRD wing with a passion. Its total ugly shit.
I guess I'd take the MkIII. I really think the MkIII chassis is better for non-competitive use...cruising etc.
Also, the MkIII has a pretty stock look, as opposed to the flashy MkIV. However, the MkIV is LHD and thats a requirement...
I say its shitty gas. The gas in my Supra cost $3.25 or so a gallon...and since then it has gone down then way up again!
Then again I'm very fortunate. Very very.
I beg to differ. I and a few others who prefer stock looking cars will agree; black sawblades are underrated. IMO sawblades look worse in pics than IRL.
N/A cars at WOT have very low vacuum, very close to 0 psi. The more pressure you have, the more fuel will be added. As such, the more vacuum your car is under, the better the mpg. This is one reason why cars with more aggressive cams can get worse mileage.
I would think ceramic coating the cat would make it more efficient.
Anyways, you guys need to put it in neutral at a stop; yes even automatics. The two biggest heat generators are heavy load (going fast) and at a stop, where the engine and transmission is trying to go but the brakes dont want...
I have it on both my compressor outlet to intercooler and intercooler to 3000 pipe. I honestly have no idea what it is or anything, but I know its heavy duty industrial strength for like 9000psi. I'll take some pictures of it when I remember.
Its the ultimate hardpipe though, because its not...
For future reference, I recently bled my brakes on my Miata by myself...sort of the wrong way. I pumped my brakes quickly and made sure there was fluid in the system at all times. Granted I still need to get some air out, the pedal feels a bit on the squishy side but still nice and works. I do...
Damn, I thought I remembered seeing the R154 in this thread. Now I feel stupid. The way you jokingly quoted it made me think for some reason you were going A340E or something.
