    Issues Question

Power steering resevoir (if I remember correctly) is directly between the engine and your intake towards the front of the engine. It's got a cap that has a big T type shape punch out on it. It will have a dipstick in the cap, check it like you check your oil. I can't remember if there is a...

coming back after 3 long years and need guidance

What happend to the front bumper in the corner? Is that just paint falling off on it's own accord or was it flexed by going over something? Is there hairline cracks in that bumper? I haven't kept up with prices too much lately so I can't help too much there, but from what I can see (other...

    Issues Question

Check your power steering fluid level. Just Dexron III (old school auto tranny fluid) if you need to add any. Check and see if the power steering motor is leaking all over the inside of your engine bay just to make sure you haven't popped or ruptured your high or low pressure lines to the...

    oil in plug valley

Yeah, you've heard the answers already so I won't reiterate them. Just a quick tip though, make sure you clean the gasket surface of any bits of loose pieces, liquid gasket silicone goop, or anything like that before putting the new gasket down. I've seen way too many leaks caused by someone...

    Coolant

Any general coolant will work, and lots would argue that it's a personal preference. HOWEVER...using cheap or poor quality coolant usually leads to hoses rotting and rust buildup, seized water pumps, etc. When you think about that and see that Toyota has recommended a specific type of coolant...

Where are there holes in the firewall to run wires into interior?

Depends on how much/big the wires you're running too. The guy who had my car before me worked in an audio shop and drilled a new hole. Nicely grommetted and everything but it was kind of necessary for the size of the wire going through.

:Urgent: The mystery starting problem that I thought I fixed.

I can't see your video for some reason (could be some of the dns blocking junk I did for the company I work for and I'm too lazy to go around that right now) but from what you're describing it sounds like the bendix not popping properly. I had that problem on my car and got myself a Bosch...

YOUR Supra... Is it FUN to DRIVE?

When it's off the road and broken: frustrated, hate, anger, anguish, mourning, weeping and gnashing of teeth Step in and take it for a spin and it all goes away because you realize after 2 minutes of driving that car, it's worth the working on it and staring at it in the driveway for 2 years.

    Component Installs

In my own supra I ended up just buying some 6x9 boxes, running wires under the carpet in the back, and have them "loose". they fit PERFECTLY under the targa if I wanted to put that in the back still, and if I felt like track driving, I took them out nice and easy.

    subwoofer setups

The guy I bought my supra off of worked at a local enthusiast mobile audio shop and did a REALLY nice job of setting it up for subs, amps, and capacitor in the back. I'll take some pics when I get home and post them up if I can figure out how to get my Windows 7 x64 to read my Nikon RAW image...

Starter not turning over, lights dim when key turns

A battery can show full voltage when there's no draw on it but still not be able to deliver the cranking amps to turn the starter. I've seen it plenty of times at the GM shop I worked in. Any shop that deals with battery replacement should have a small handheld unit that they can perform an in...

    Help choosing I.C.

I know people who've put various different ebay intercoolers in various different cars and I haven't seen any of them cause any problems at this point other than some select persons not doing their homework and buying one that was WAY to big for the space he had. Plan it out a bit, maybe try...

Block's already prepped for the MHG, there's a blown up HKS one on there right now. Shims are all taken care of. The engine shop is going to be moving the valvetrain over and doing adjustments etc for me. As for springs I'm going to be doing the Comp Cams 975 spring mod (Chev inner spring...

Head RE+RE, tell me if I'm missing something

I'm about to embark on a full head swap on my car and I wanted to see if I'm forgetting anything. The plan is take off the head, bring old head and my nice new port'd and polished head to the machine shop, get them to do a valve & seat grind to matching things up nicely, swap over valvetrain...
