    What steering wheel is this

I looked for it but couldnt find it, which is dumb because I specifically remember transferring it from my old compy to the lapper I'll look more, but it isnt much of a pic anyways. Actually I'm curious of what the part number is on the wheel; I think the XRS/GT-S cars had the same wheel...

    What steering wheel is this

Its basically a universal Toyota hub I hear. I've heard a newer 7th gen Celica (00-05) wheel bolts right up. Let me find the pic. As for cruise control, I'll stick with a steady foot. CC is convenient, but people either dont use it or set it at completely different speeds. I can never use it...

    Post your Pre-89 bumper thread

Regulus is (or rather, was?) one of my favorite aesthetics companies...its much harder to develop tasteful modifications that fit an older style body than it is for present day cars. Its far from perfect, but thats a really cool looking car. I've grown fond of the nose piece. I also just...

    BIC 3.5" exhaust sound clips

The camera doesnt catch the sound too well, but boy does it purr nicely! :bigthumb:

    No AC System Low?

If an A/C system is overfilled, it will actually not work as well as if it was filled the right amount. The opposite is true as well; if its underfilled, it'll actually blow slightly cooler (as long as the evaporator doesnt freeze). R12 is more convenient in that for every pound of pressure...

    What steering wheel is this

So disappointing too. Its by far the best looking U.S. factory wheel. I wish I wouldve swapped mine with the ugly 88 before I sold it. Only two ugly parts on a pre89 are the steering wheel and the tails :sarcasm:

Strange things found while working on Supras.

I was thinking about how "back in the day" the Supra was quite a fancy upscale car to have. Doesnt seem right if a clergyman is vowing poverty to be driving one. However, nowadays, thats the sole explanation of driving one :biglaugh:

    Welded Diff.?

I understand where you're getting at, and normally I'm not one to jump to one side or the other. I just feel that a welded diff will do more harm than good; in fact, it might cost more with the tires you'll have to replace more frequently than to get a clutch pack or Torsen.

    Welded Diff.?

Care about the Supra enough to modify it correctly? ;)

    Silver MKiii Supra suggestions.

IMO sawblades look much better in person than in photos. Black sawblades are quite nice too! When I was 16, I thought they were pretty ugly too. I've grown out of it and am rather okay with them now. Painted them, and now I'm quite satisfied! (Carry over low profiles, I'm aware theres not...

Strange things found while working on Supras.

Pretty much the same here. In the back seat was the battery recently bought by the previous owner. One day I was walking by the car and I saw a shiny metal shard poking out of the fender. Poked it around and was able to pull it out after some fumbling. Turned out to be a stubby 10mm S*K wrench...

    Welded Diff.?

This post disappoints me so. :3d_frown: Your posts are always informative about doing the RIGHT thing. This one is just the opposite. Welding a diff is the cheap (and inexpensive) way to fix a problem that should be fixed correctly. You have to disassemble everything to get that far anyways...

    LS400 tools required for removal?

I've seen many more Snap-On tools break than Craftsman, though I've been around Snap-On more. For important stuff like ratchets, wrenches, and sockets, Matco and Mac are definitely the best. For pretty much everything else, Harbor Freight will do :icon_bigg As for the 10mm's, I suggest a...

    Mk3 performance shop in tampa?

I dont really want to take sides since I've never been there myself, but again, I've heard nothing but good things from them. Belts on Camrys are much worse than many other cars. Have you worked for a shop before? Customers are charged on how much time "the book" says, not how long it takes...

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

Wow, thats a great idea! I forgot about that engine entirely--which is what everyone else does too. Its actually built VERY well and is like the 1UZ in that its overlooked like crazy as well as overbuilt. I believe GM/GM Performance built a twin turbo one-off "just for kicks" a while back and...

    Mk3 performance shop in tampa?

+1 for F&H, I've only seen and heard good things about them
