I love the cockpit feel of the MkIV dash surrounding you. Its really great. Stuff is ideally located and easy to reach. Regardless, I have to agree that it just wouldnt be the same in the MkIII. The MkIII dash does the same thing just as well and has a sexy, unique horizontally stretching gauge...

I've noticed this as well when researching MkIIIs being raced. If anything, add a real cooler.

Its not as bad as it sounds. But it sure is loud.

Neither of them flow with the stock body. At all. The one that nobody likes is just a bit taller and has the middle piece. It is the same thing! It doesnt match the side, the profile, definitely doesnt match the trunk..it doesnt match the body at all! It looks completely out of place...

I think this is a valid question. I understand the hostility (hell look at my avatar :p), but I cant say I hadnt considered it once. Honestly, its not that different, it just jumps out more with more "dimension." Oh, and the front end swap was me wanting to reverse the trend and bring more...

They look practically the same! MkIV has a smooth round jellybean look that ends in a perfect wing, whereas the TRD wings have hard, straight lines that literally dont match any part of the car. IMO it looks dumber than a box of rocks.

I literally think either TRD wing is the worst possible thing you could to looks wise to the MkIV. You cant tell me the MkIII front looks out of place on the car, but the square wing on the back works at ALL.

Um, Photoshop? :biglaugh: CS3 more specifically. EDIT: Updated. Black stripes didnt look as nice as I was hoping, so I went with bright ass neon yellow. Viper badge on the back is a stronger red. Did a sloppy job of making the trunk, top, and hood black, so my next step will be to fix it up...

Not sure what you mean by that...frontal area? Mk3/4 and SC cars all have pretty much the same bumper opening areas really.

I've thought that too. It'd look better without the molding. I wouldve fixed it if I felt it was worth it. Also, because I'm "ashamed" of how the 'shops came out, I'm working on something to make up for it :p

Yeah, when I first saw one, long after getting into MkIIIs, I loved it. I think the MkII/MkIII is a tasteful homage to it.

No, it was a photoshop. King Buyer is/was a hugely popular dealership in Jay-pon which takes pictures of all their cars at that same angle.

MkIV taillights look good on the MkIV because they were designed with the body in mind. Body wise, the MkIV and MkIII are pretty much polar opposites; the only body part I see that has remotely carried over (which is arguable at best) is the bumper portion of the MkIV between the headlights...

Hard to argue with the mechanical fan discussion; especially since semis still use giant mechanical fans, and engineers for semis know a bit more than the average MkIII modder. Nonetheless, I really like my slimmer, quieter e-fans. I havent taken it to extreme situations where it hits the edge...

I've been driving 3 hours each way on and off in the past 2 years in a Miata without cruise control, power steering, etc. I've only even thought about cruise control once as a stray thought. Traffic doesnt stay at a consistent speed, and even if it did, its not a big deal.
