    Stock BOV not working?

Bosch makes a good unit- it was used on VW's, Saabs, and a couple others. Fits close to stock (slight modification needed) edit: something like this...

Raptor Racing vs Tanabe Medalion Touring

The best I have, right after I bought the car- I later got an adjustable test pipe so I could fix the slight tilt- after that it was good stuff! Sits nice and tight against the bumper/valance. Can't find any other vids of the exhaust- someone else may have one but I don't know about it :P

Raptor Racing vs Tanabe Medalion Touring

On the dyno- kinda hard to hear until later: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmH9LRl5-SE&list=UUcSb1GKidTTz8VAT6tG_1Vg&index=6&feature=plcp Another dyno, little more turbo noise but you can hear the howl...

Raptor Racing vs Tanabe Medalion Touring

This is an issue I am currently facing- keep my tanabe hyper medallion (earlier version of the touring) or go with a 3.5/4" exhaust for the power gains (yes I'm at that point). Another option would be to install a cutout for power/noise when I want it, but who knows what I'll do! I personally...

    TIS Anyone?

TIS is nice, but I find manuals to be more valuable, even in the dealership. Wiring diagrams especially, as they're nice to have right there in the car with you. Can't comment on the cost- dealership pays for it. :p

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Yep, I have a SurpaSport (Jim King) V3 shifter and it works great IMO. I hope to loosen up a little of the notchiness in the trans when I'm in there, if not then that's OK!

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Well, we'll see how mine goes- its looking like ~700 in parts will be needed D:

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Yep I'm going to get the upgraded thrust washer, 1-2 shift fork, and the rear retainer plate. Also going new synchros on 1, 2, 3, 4, new 1-2 and 3-4 synchro sleeves. Only question is I'm trying to see if it needs new speed gears for 2 and 3. The synchro teeth on them are a little beat up. Also...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

So the head is finally getting machined, then it'll be off for porting, then a valve job and surfacing! In the meantime I'm going through my new transmission to try to get it shaped up for the build! funfunfun!

1997 Toyota 4Runner stall on start

Not sure if it applies to the 3.4, but I had a similar issue with my 93 22R where the EGR valve would get stufk at times and woul need a whack to re-seal. Otherwise you were adding exhaust gas into the idle mixture, which made it run like poo. Other things to check would be the MAF sensor-...

The new FRS and BRZ what do you think of these to tiwn cars?

The original designs- I liked a lot. The headlights were aggressive, as was the body work. As its gotten closer to production, its turned into somewhat of a Corolla to me. (not in a good way) The body and trim went blah, performance went blah, and my favorite part, the headlights, look likt...

When is transmission gear replacement needed?

So here's the story: I bought a new/used R154 to replace my 212k OEM that has serious issues shifting into 2nd and 3rd. The new transmission was advertized as having a slight grind while going into 3rd at very high RPM's, so I am tearing it down and rebuilding it to hopefully make shifting...

    MK2+7M+v160+5.29 final drive

Just realize that RPM alone will not make a car perform. Sounding cool is one thing, but there is something to be said about having the thing stay together. Watch a couple of this guy's videos- you may be swayed into the 1UZ direction ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm5k1ntJNBU&feature=related

Coil Pack Feeler Thread of sorts...

I got my coils (with wires) off of Ebay for $80 iirc I bought new coil boots ($15 for all 3) so $95 total. New coils would be much more expensive, but that's the way it goes!
