Removing beep when door is open

Close the door? :p First, its there to help you, annoying though it may be. If the key is in the OFF or ACC position, it will beep. Most Toyota vehicles stop beeping if you put the key into the ON position. You can easily get rid of it by disconnecting the courtesy door switches, but then you...

    engine ground strap

Since you seem to be N/A you might check out the distributor cap for oil/water intrusion as well as making sure the plugs aren't worn out. I'd suspect that before a grounding issue. There are a bunch of ground straps around the engine and trans. 1 really big one (~4-6awg) going from the...

Updated PICs of my post Supra BEAST

You're going to copy it, aren't you :P I really, really like that blue Chris! Not just blue, but dimensional blue that works with the body lines <3

    Going for big hp!!!

Eh, no probs with them for me yet. Didn't like the price of anything 2k or above, didn't want to run it as close as 1k's, either. Was torn between 1250's and 1350's, tuner suggested 1350's so bam.

    Going for big hp!!!

    Injectors (500), lines(~75), fittings(~100), pumps(300), regulator(140) about 1k iirc

    Going for big hp!!!

The engine is the easy part- its everything else that gets expensive. Standalone, turbo, exhaust, intake system, fuel system, oil system, gauges, etc! I did my 7M up for ~5000 with JE pistons and eagle rods. AEM was 1800, Turbo was 2500, fuel was 1000, exhaust was 500, intake was 600, oil...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

lol, I have a couple...might keep a set for myself, too. Would be cool to see what they can do on a JZ and M engine with similar mods :p Sounds like you're planning on having some make-up fun next year!

    The best clutch

FIC 1350's. Not even close to using all of them, but I planned to have a pretty good safety margin, as well as the possiility for future expansion.

    The best clutch

I was running a spec stage 3+ and it was a great clutch! Good engagement, held a bunch of power. Only caveat I found was it didn't hold no-lift shifts for me (~480hp, 440tq) So, I'm going for a spec twin plate P-trim, now!

    Intake from the turbo?

To me, the answer to this issue is very simple. Just go to your local Toyota dealer and order a new factory hose up. All of the aftermarket ones I have seen as of yet have fit poorly without modification, and if you ever plan on going to a bigger turbo the factory ones hold their resale value...

    3UR-FE swap?

Cool idea, but Nick hit on the head- that engine is enormous. Its hard to get into a Tundra's engine bay, much less a Supra's. If you're made of money and time I'd say give it a go, but that's a big freaking engine D:

Ball Bearing VS Journal Bearing and size!

The Boss Jr. Also has a larger turbine which helps flow up top a lot. iirc it was designed to be as close to the CT as possible (being that it was designed as a 57 trim/60-1 repacement unit)

    SupraSport under new ownership

Jake and Tyler are trying to get their gameplan together right now, once they gel that we'll see how it goes.

Ball Bearing VS Journal Bearing and size!

It would help the spool, but it would hurt the top end. Think of A/R as a firehose nozzle. Small A/R means a tight, powerful stream, but it becomes more of a bottleneck when flow increases. Big A/R is an open firehose. Not such a strong stream at lower flows, but it has the capacity to flow a...

Ball Bearing VS Journal Bearing and size!

*This is strictly from my own experience, and may not be completely accurate* If you were starting from scratch, I would go T-4 without hesitation. On my billet P-trim 67mm, going from a .83 CT to a .81 T4 I gained ~1000rpm of spool with the exact same turbo and similar downpipes (was using a...

    SupraSport under new ownership

Yep, I know both of them and they're both cool guys. I hope they can turn the image of SS around in the forums, but only time will tell! As for the meets happening there, it's always been Greg's shop, so I think he'd be OK with having the meets there still- I'll talk to him to make sure...

    Tanabe Touring Medallion exhaust

ftfy ;) I have the hyper medallion, but its basically the same for all practical purposes. Another local guy has the touring version and they sound virtually the same. Very quiet at idle and low power, but boy oh boy does it bark when you lay into it!
