That damn thing isn't just obsolete from Toyota, no manufacture in the United States produces one. I have heard that they can be ordered from a company in Japan for a nice fee. I said screw it and went to the junk yard.
Also the seat belts are no longer available from Toyota.
edit: Damn...
Umm yes it does.
And while it's not a super note worthy source the most recent occurance being an issue is here:

Fuel doesn't instantly fill the combustion chamber it takes a certain amount of time to expand and fill the space. Times are within thousandths of a second, but it still takes time. When the fuel is initially injected into the combustion chamber it is nothing but fuel it has to expand to include...
It's already been stated pretty clearly, but that plug is the same one used for the Oil level senders on the 2JZ motor. It's a pretty safe bet that is what it's for. And since USDM 7M's didn't come with that particular light you don't have to worry about it.
I see direct injection having incredible potential for performance cars. Due directly to fact that with a properly designed squelch area you can create a stoichiometric cloud immediately around the spark plug while the area outside the cloud can be extremely lean. This makes for an environment...
Another thing to consider is if the car has ever had a BHG. If any of that headgasket sealant junk was used it will collect in the heater core and slowly diminish the heat produced. I purchased my car right after the previous owner did that, and it took me forever to figure out why I was getting...
Bout time Adam, you two have been a pair for a long time. You're good people and I'm glad to see you together. Congrats and I wish you two a wonderful future.
Lol, very true, though I was more refrencing JJ's joke and your reply. Still it's nice to see you still reply even if the post is a little old. I take it you're still sick and sitting at home has you board. I see you replying to a lot of posts right now.
No. Leave the defrost wires alone. Good tint will not have any issue with the defrost wires. What people are saying is that if for some reason the tint has to be removed(bubbles, fades, to dark), it will almost certainly destroy your defrost lines upon removal. So make absolutely sure it's done...
You're correct. On a JDM head the hole shown in yellow is plugged. This blocks the path from the exhaust runner, allowing the holes in blue to be left open. On a USDM head this entire area is covered and known as the egr cooler.
There are a few ways to go about this Matt. Are you extending one wire with shielding or multiple wires inside a common shield?
If multiple wires inside a common shield, the method I chose was to use metal braided sleeving and solder it at both ends where it contacts the sleeving. Then place...
Unfortunately no. The inside of a JZ igniter is hermetically sealed, and even if you broke into the black case, you would find the delicate circuitry (and i mean delicate, unenclosed silicon) covered by a soft gel. Not something you want to open.
And I doubt the harness length itself would...
It's probably more about the health insurance benefits. He's probably been working at that company long enough to be grandfathered in under a previous company policy, back when the policies were actually decent. He won't find that if he goes to another company.
Poodles has a good point on this. I've played with a few as their a popular for battery for relocation on Mitsubishi EVO's. On that little 4cyl motor you get about 3 good 15 sec turnovers on them. Don't expect to play the radio or power any other electronic with out the engine running and then...
Ok it's been mentioned several times in this thread but on the 2JZ, coolant flow control was moved from the block to the headgasket. Look at the block, now look at the headgasket.
You want even cooling throughout the motor. Because it allows for a more even and thorough combustion process...
