If you ground that wire the fuel pump will operate as normal. Turning on with the key, and off with the key. The reason they are mentioning a switched ground is as a safety precaution. Though it is not a very ideal solution. The 7M uses an RPM signal; to keep the fuel pump on, and the 2JZ uses a...
I had a Mercury Topaz (Ford Tempo) for about a year. The car itself never really broke down on me, I'm pretty good about preventive maintenance so that wasn't a real issue. However the build quality was abysmal, the little 4cyl was noisy, and underpowered. I usually got 13 MPG around town. The...
I'm gonna have to go with color match Adam. I think it fits better with the original look of the car. The black causes a contrast with the lines. When you looked at the old setup it didn't look bad by any means, but something just didn't seems to flow with the rest of the car. You knew the flush...
Like was mentioned in the thread you posted back in 2009, Venom injectores are horrable and should be avoided like the plauge.:http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?94452-fuel-pouring-in-exhaust-white-smoke&highlight=venom+injectors
Here is some more reading about venom injectors...
Consumers are voting on a product with their wallets, as it should be. The product stands on it's own merits and is being judged as such. Now that the votes are in, the company seems to be grasping at straws. It's a hole they dug themselves and the legal system should not be abused to pull them...
First thing I would do is ditch the Haynes manual those things are worse than helpful they are dangerous. Not sure if they have been changed in recent years but the last one I saw tried to cover to many generations of the supra. The information was so general and vague I don't know how it ever...

I'm sure there are other places, that is just the first place I remember.
While the JL 1000/1 amp isn't a huge power hungry beast like some kilowatt amps but if certain frequencies are hit for extended periods at high volume it can significantly pull the voltage down in a car system. Especially if it's not properly wired or has a weak battery or alternator. If the...
Ok so find me a good Dyno chart of a 7M in first gear. I haven't seen one and I'd be surprised if you have.
Put a good load on these motors like that of a 4th gear pull on a dyno and they will spin a turbo up real fast. But first gear, not so much. Even my 2JZ with the factory sequential...
But now your getting into driver differences. From a stand point of machine vs machine. The N/A does have more torque RPM for RPM than the GTE off boost. If your a good driver and don't care much for you're clutch then yes you can negate the advantage.
In which gear. My 7M never built boost that fast in first gear. Not enough load. This is the reason you can build boost in an automatic off the line. You can load up the engine. Off the line, without two step or brake boosting and identical rear ends, an N/A has the torque advantage. The...
Your forgetting one thing. The N/A has a higher compression ratio. So unless you're into boost off the line(with brake boosting or two step) the N/A will produce more torque RPM for RPM until the GTE starts seeing positive manifold pressures.
Wow, yeah that would do it. The car thinks someone is unlocking the door without the key since it's not receiving the signal from that wire. Go to a junk yard, get a replacement and clean the contacts before reassembly.
