and i dont know who told you the cometic suck...but i would swear by them...my own cometic has withstood a few overheatings from hoses blowing, and my timing being about 40 degrees advanced and pinging the shit outta my engine under boost and it held up...

yes i would swear by my life on cometic...as long as you check your block with a machinists straightedge...and its not warped...you can simply clean it off and make it smooth with a razor blade and brake cleaner...and have your head resurfaced and youll be good to go...
WOW...BIG misconception...you DO NOT need to deck the block for a COMETIC hg. thats what makes them so much better then the hks or greddy ones...
for a cometic you simple need to resurface the head and check the block for warpage...if there is none... which more then likely there...

so what you are looking for is a "test pipe" which eliminates a cat...the problem with that is most of the test pipes are 3inches and not 2.5 which is the ideal exhaust diameter for your NA....
in all reality..if this is simply what you are wanting...you can take a 2.5inch pipe, cut off the...
