i personally dont know the ACTUAL differences...what i DO know is that they ARE different... just look at the RA recommendations for each...obviously the cometic has something the hks/greddy/titan DONT.
i also KNOW that the titan version IS the same as an HKS/GREDDY version... ive seen them...
hmmm maybe lol...i PERSONALLY dont feel the need to resurface the block as long as theres no warpage and all the previous material has been scraped away nicely..but take that for what its worth.......but its a given the cometic doesnt need near the glass surface the hks does to seal properly...
does anyone know if any of the tach signal wires output a 5 volt square signal? im looking for one to hook up a switch to...and i tried the normal wires to hook it up to but its not working... i called the company i got the switch from and they said it needs a 5volt square output signal for the...
i might be wrong on the week part...but i stand by my stretching comments...
just like posted before when grim posted the info... the plasticity regions are very touchy....
as for what you say DRj...i DO agree that detonation is a huge cause of bhg...but in reality...how many people on...
its 280 ;) plus they are about 1k lbs lighter then the mk3 lol... its VERY possible you whooped his ass fair and square...
i dont know im feeling down on my car lately ...i dont know why...
ive said it before...and for some reason a lot lately...and ill say it again... USABILITY AND RELIABILITY...
why do something that MIGHT work...when you can do something that WILL work...
people have jumped off 10 story buildings and lived... are you going to do that because SOME people...
just like with resurfacing for hg in the other thread... theres a difference between USABILITY and RELIABILITY.
USABILITY: being able to use something for the job ...it could work fine and dandy..OR it could fail miserably.
RELIABILITY: being able to use something for the job and have it...

i win :D scroll down a bit and it/i explain it... and wrongly might i add ;) because im dyslexic and stuffs hahaha... CK made sure to point that out since its very rare that i say something wrong ;)...
im sure there are plenty of people who have GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT...but why even chance it? spend the extra money and do it RIGHT...
not resurfacing both...like i said before...will leave your car in a status of : daily possibility of bhg.
UGH...there is no IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS....to do it PROPERLY...you MUST resurface both the head and the block to even get close to the RA requirements....
if not...you run the risk of it blowing from unprepped surfaces...PERIOD.
i would...i give it about a week before it blows... torquing STOCK bolts that much WILL stretch them and they will give out and cause more problems...
not only that but if it DOES hold...boosting much more then stock will be a daily adventure.
all that apart and you couldnt spring an extra...
yeah but i can bust out with all sorts of problems too:
my number 2 injector was leaking
my ddp was giving boost creep and fuel cut issues also
my fuel filter was clogged
my 2nd gear synchro is gone ;)
my afm was being gay ( as you know :D )
spark plugs were shot
etc etc...now unlike...
damn johnny...i know you so i wont call BS... but something doesnt seem right lol...
cause when we raced in TX i walked away from you... but i dont think IM fast enough to take out an NSX yet... weird...
a couple of things:
1) wrong section... more so general so ill move it for ya ;)
2) paradise racing is one of the better places to get it... luis is a good guy ...and the prices are very competitive...
3) titans hg is a replica of the hks mhg...NOT a cometic...i dont care how much they...
do you have an afc? if so make sure its set to karman sensor...
if not sounds to me like an afm problem... sometimes you can have an afm problem and not pull any afm codes... check the wiring for it and make sure its getting to the ecu...
